Meet Steven Groves PT, DPT

Steven received his Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Physiology from West Virginia University in 2012. Steven then worked for 3 years as a Personal Trainer and Fitness Specialist at Healthworks Rehab & Fitness while also receiving his Golf Fitness Specialist and Corrective Exercise Specialist certifications. Steven later received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from West Virginia University in 2018.

Growing up in Preston County as a high school multi-sport athlete, Steven relied on the knowledge and skills of the staff at PRO PT to allow a quick and healthy return to playing sports throughout his high school career. Steven enjoys using these personal experiences to help young athletes return to play as quickly and safely as possible in addition to developing personalized injury prevention programs. Steven continues to seek additional training and knowledge to serve his community with the most up-to-date and personalized care to help individuals live a higher quality of life. Steven began his Physical Therapy career right where it all began - at PRO PT.

As a Preston County native, Steven strives to share the skills and knowledge gained throughout his career to provide the best care possible to his hometown community while educating individuals on the importance of living an active lifestyle. Most recently, Steven has led PRO PT’s expansion into his hometown community of Bruceton Mills, WV serving as the Clinical Director of PRO PT’s newest location.

When not in the clinic, you can find Steven spending time with his wife, Brooke, his oldest daughter, Blakelyn, and their most recent addition of twin daughters, Sage and Palmer. Steven also enjoys playing recreational sports such as softball and basketball as well as remaining active in the community.
